What's up?

So, yeah, I guess you could say that I've been slacking lately. Maybe something to do with the change of seasons.

Really, I've just been trying to get back to center, get my shooting budget back up again, and deciding what next steps to be taking. You know, the whole, it's the journey that's important kind of stuff. And yet, I find myself slowly sitting still. I have time off, and find myself simply catching up on all the rest I didn't get during the week. It's a phase, I know. Just gotta get my ass through it.

In the mean time, what I have shot recently, is a fashion show organized by some friends. So, here you go, fair audience, pictures from the "Go Go Fashion Show Show" featuring clothing Amy Elizabeth Couture, among others.

Cheers!

just because

A couple weeks ago, I caught the swifts(birds) at Chapman Elementary school here in Portland, Or. At dusk,
they circle and fly en masse into the chimney at the school where they nest for the night. At first, I wasn't excited about the pictures I got. Mostly, they tend to look like dots or specks near a chimney. So, I decided to give it a bit of a retro look by adding a texture. And then, tweak colors here, contrast there. I guess I'm kind of proud of myself. Now it's spooky specks near a chimney that could be birds. Cheers!

Fedora!

I got a text from Fedora a few weekends ago saying that she could be in town the next day if I wanted to shoot.  It was a short shoot and we decided to catch some sunshine in the industrial area.  Unfortunately, it was in the middle of the afternoon, so, nekkidness was a bit more difficult.  Regardless, the shoot was pretty rad!

Betsy in the SE industrial area

Revisiting our outdoor urban nudes and such, we ventured to SE.  As expected, things were a little bit more complicated.  We even had a peeping tom and everything.  A very nice police officer, upon his second trip around our block mentioned it might be a good idea to move things along in order to avoid attracting the wrong elements.  Yup.  Great idea.  A few minutes later, we vacated our spot to see just around the corner there was a wedding shoot going on.  Boy, to imagine their surprise if it was them coming around the corner!  Oh well, all in all, it was a great shoot!

Shoot with Fedora!

It was so great having Fedora in town a couple weeks ago!  Yeah, I've been slacking a bit on the blog here.  Anywho, it was a great shoot!  Cheers everybody!  Can you believe this 100 degree heat up here in the NW?
